On November 15th, Hands for Henna partnered with COAR, an ASU club that tutors refugee students from Crockett Elementary! After learning about the scientific method and refugee women scientists, we made invisible ink and lava lamps with the kids! We also left these wonderful children with gift bags full of school supplies, uniforms, and a toy that inspired them to pursue their future dream careers. Last Friday, Hands for Henna collaborated with Home Base, an initiative created to foster mindfulness through positive peer interactions. In efforts to help students, parents, and educators navigate through mental health resources, they hosted a Wellness Fair! We had the opportunity to join them for their great cause and share the therapeutic powers of henna!
